13th Floor Elevators 1966 FD 28 ZEBRA MAN Family Dog Avalon Poster

Description: This is a vintage third print poster (approx. 14" x 20", and printed very shorty after the shows by Chet Helms. This is an authorized printing of this poster, not some later reprint or bootleg), promoting a series of shows featuring the 13th Floor Elevators & Quicksilver Messenger Service. These shows took place September 30 & October 1, 1966 at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco. This classic sixties psychedelic image, "ZEBRA MAN", was designed by Stanley Mouse & Alton Kelley, and is the 28th image in the Family Dog series. The poster has been very carefully preserved for over fifty years, and remains in EXCELLENT/FLAWLESS condition (please excuse any thin horizontal lines on the photo. These are scanner anomalies, and DO NOT appear on the offered poster), and would make a very nice substitute for the much more expensive first print ($1,000).
