Allen Publisher: Pagan & Son, New YorkPublication Date: 1899Edition: 1st Edition Condition: Good ITEM DESCRIPTION Today we are pleased to offer this nicely preserved volume of New York Masonic interest! A great find from a local New England estate! This scarce antique first edition is over 125 years old! 1st Edition. Ex-library. In good condition overall! Original publisher cloth binding shows some wear as pictured, including rubbing and soiling to the boards and spine, general wear around the extremities including bumping to the corners and spine extremes, and light rubbing and soiling to the page edges. Otherwise this is an attractive antique volume! The gilt title lettering to the spine displays nicely from the shelf. Internally, this volume is in good shape overall. There is some cracking to both the front and rear hinges, however both boards and all page groupings remain attached to the binding. There are no bookplates, signatures, inscriptions or library markings to note. The text block of this volume is clean throughout. There is typical age-related toning to the pages, as well as light soiling and foxing scattered throughout, and some general light edge wear, including creased corners, but otherwise this volume is clean and free from rips, tears, writing and markings. Perfectly readable throughout! Illustrated throughout with portraits.
