Description: Here is a beautiful, antique 19th century gilt and 'bronzed' cast metal figure of a tambourine player.The casting is well done, and the figure has nicely defined features and details. He is mounted to a round wooden base, and dates from the middle of the 19th century.He measures 8 inches tall (including base), and is 6- 3/8ths inches tall without base. The base measures 4- 1/4 inches in diameter. This figure is in excellent, used antique, condition with no chips, cracks, or breaks. It is clean and completely intact, with just some gentle scuffing and wear the the 'bronzed' surface, and wooden base, consistent with its age. (See photos).
