Description: 6B48-zk BFPU Sometimes referred to as 6b48 Ratnik-zk individual protection kits. Set of Vest (No Plates) and Two-tone EMR flame resistant summer shirt. Shirt is size 50-52. Height 4/5. Made by Armakon. Some battle damage/ wear present. No functionality is impacted. Also presents evidence of field repair on vest. I also have the high collar flame resistant shirt/jacket with “MOLLE” straps on chest. Reach out if interested. These Ratnik 6b48 sets were only recently issued to RF armored units, likely around 2016. They represent one of the most recent updates to the Russian Army’s standard issue uniforms. The entire set is made of Aramid fibers designed to protect the user both from shrapnel and sustain extremely high temperatures for up to 15 seconds. My understanding is that this set was acquired either through the capture of a supply depot or was permanently (but respectfully!) borrowed from a POW. They likely fell into Ukrainian hands while attacks were being repelled in the first 6-8months of the war and then sold to a well known surplus retailer here in the US. Very few examples of these are present in the US. The few that are here get listed for exorbitant sums and sell out extremely quickly because there are usually only one or two examples for sale at any given time. Online retailers like to leave their “sold out” postings of these up just to tease us with what could have been. As I have still not been able to acquire a BMP or much less a T-72Bwhatever, I do not have much use for these. I am hoping to get these into the hands of somebody who will appreciate them for what they are and who maybe will get some use out of them (hopefully not here, though). They are a unique piece of history we are still living through (booooo) and will make an excellent addition to any collection of contemporary militaria. I am open to all reasonable offers and will do my best to answer any questions. I am also open to selling these as individual items, though would prefer not to and will ask for a higher price if parted out.
