ITEM DESCRIPTION: Normal 0 false false false EN-US ZH-CN X-NONE We are presenting a marvelous and highly valuable Antique American Waltham 18K Solid Gold 18-Size Pocket Watch Circa 1883 with a super heavy Drum Style Hunter case. Not only is this watch case exorbitantly heavy, the craftsmanship of the engravings on both front and back covers are simply amazing. Both covers as well as the case body are fully engraved with various geometric and floral patterns throughout every millimeter. This watch has a diameter of 52mm and total weight of 149.2 grams which makes it highly valuable just based on the gold content. Another indication of the high quality is that the case is hallmarked AWCo which made some of the heaviest gold pocket watch cases in the world. Inside the watch a Waltham Model 1877 Appleton Tracy Co. 18-size movement serves as the timekeeper. Condition-wise the watch is running but we have not timed it and it has not been serviced so we don't offer any guarantee on timekeeping. Most likely it will require full service if the owner wants to use it frequently. Cosmetically the 18K solid gold hunter case has no dings or dents. The enamel dial has two short hairlines from the center post to the sub-seconds chapter which are quite faint. Diameter is 52mm, total weight 149.2 grams.
