Description: Unique signed and dated 19th century Kazak long rug, in lightly distressed condition. Strong vegetable dyes, lightning bolt medallions. The rug was sourced for an English Country home, SE of London and has seen its share of living. There are multiple repairs and repairs, with patches on the back, a small hole on one side. There is pile wear, but as rustic tribal piece, it’s fantastic. The inscription is a dedication and the date is likely 1304/1888 in the Western Calendar. Great for a vacation home or man-cave, or as potential easy restoration project for a professional. Professionally washed August 2023
