Carl Scheidig K.G. was founded in 1906 in Grafenthal, Thuringia, Germany, by a successful businessman bearing his name. Right from the start, the factory became successful, by 1913 it employed 160 people and sold its limited editions figurines and figurinal groups in Germanuy and world-wide. The factory style was defined by the freedom of ideas and quality of the offered figurines designs. The factory successfully operated until late 1930-s and after that it experienced difficulties, especially during and after the 2nd World War, marked by significant deterioration of quality and limited creativity. Marked to the bottom with the red eagle and crown mark in red, used in 1906 - 1930-s. Condition report: the figurine is in an original condition, except for some wear of the gold gilt, with no chips or cracks. Please check the photographs for detailed description.
