Otto Kubel was a German painter, book designer and illustrator and scissor artist. He was born in 1868, in Dresden, Germany. He later moved to Munich where he became famous as an art illustrator, completing the artwork for many Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales. He was most active as an illustrator for children's and fairy tale books. He is best known for his uncanny depictions on the fairy tale stories written by the famous or infamous Brothers Grimm and captured the complicated relationship between humankind, and the animal world, which includes us humans, i.e. Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel. Otto Kubel can be considered one of the first horror artists of his time (Hansel and Gretel.) The card for sale is in mint condition. Your purchase is AS SEEN, with no returns.
