Description: GREAT recent barn find is this wonderful early 20th C. primitive large painted hanging punched tin candle lantern. 16" tall x 10" across at top x 8 1/4" round at bottom. Not able to find anything comparable leads me to believe that this was a Vermonters project back in the day. You'll love the coloration, the punched tin sides with star, floral decoration. Has some awesome areas of old surface rust scattered here & there. The combination of all that is, in my opinion, a sight to behold. Inside was a small rusty hog scraper candle stick. The window in front is a thick heavy glass. It will definitely be a showstopper for your primitive or folk-art collection.
