Description: Reading Trimmer No 5 Ball Bearing: Metal has surface rust, some screws or adjustments may be frozen and need some WD40 or similar to free. The wood roller has the start of a split to it but is still intact. The bottom of the Handle has a small split out piece that will need glued. Overall has Patina expected of 60+ year old lawn mower. Good news is that the Rotary mechanism still works. Turning the larger Drive wheel engages the Rotary blades and the blades will free spin when raised off the ground. I did not test for how well it might cut your grass and you should expect to clean, adjust, and sharpen if your intent is to put it into service. Great collectible item from the Pennsylvania Heartland. Manufactured in Reading and sold by a well known hardware company in Philadelphia. Viewing some other listings of Reading catalogs/advertising, looks more like the ones in a 1928 catalog and easily not the style from 1949. Shipping: The mower has been broken down with it's handle removed. Purchase will be shipped in 2 packages, 1 for the mower head and a longer one for the handle. Local pick-up is an option if you want to save on the shipping cost. 10 day handling time set to allow time for arranging local pickup. Shipping option would be more in my normal 3-5 day time.
