Manufacturer's descriptions follow: DS1404: The DS1404 is a four channel, PC programmable, line-level attenuator used primarily to control sound masking levels based on time of day and day of the week. The DS1404 can also be used to provide attenuation schedules for background music and paging signals. Custom schedules can be created and downloaded to the DS1404 using the provided Windows based software. The front panel provides buttons for making minor adjustments. The rear panel provides line-level input and output connections via pluggable connectors, a communications port for serial connection with a PC and bypass controls for each channel. The DS1404 come preconfigured for a standard Monday through Friday work schedule and may be used without the need to customize a schedule. DS3002: The DS3002 is designed to provide sound masking, paging and music functions for centralized and networked sound masking systems. Each DS3002 provides four independent sound masking generators, each having 1/3 octave band equalization, adjustable high pass and low pass filters. Additionally, two balanced line level inputs, two balanced line level outputs and a matrix mixer facilitate configuring any mix of incoming signals with any of the sound masking generators and then routed to any of the outputs. Input processing includes per channel level control, equalization and configurable “softknee” compression. Output processing includes per channel level control for both analog and network audio. This feature provides unique functionality for use in traditional 70V centralized systems, networked addressable systems or systems combining both approaches.
