This design was first issued August 5, 1975. This design, which is now long obsolete, was the first multicolor note and had a then new serial numbering system. The second combination for the type, it was signed by Deputy Governor John W. Crow and Governor Gerald K. Bouey. They were in office together from March 1, 1984 until January 31, 1987. Canada has long since dispensed with one & two-dollar bills in favor of coins, and no longer prints or circulates them.
