Note that the razor is made in such a way that the scales turn inward on the bottom side so that a closure is made and the blade does not go all the way through the scales. The blade has "Our Very Best" engraved on it. The number 0 (zero) is impressed on the shank right by the pivot pin and next to the makers' names. The blade measures about 4/8 in width. The closed razor measures about 6" in length. We find no problems with the blade. One scale on the underside has a small dent. The scales appear to us to be plastic, but we are not good judges of the various materials used for this purpose. Please see our photos. We gladly answer questions or supply additional photographs.
