Description: Awesome vintage quarter-sawn wood advertising piece. As the story goes it hung in a store front in Kentucky, allegedly. It does have a hole on each side on front where a fastener was said to have held it hanging in a window. if it did, it is a convenient store title, which is probably fictional, but even so, it still may have hung in a window, regardless if the name holds true to wherever it was. But it is a quality made vintage piece and you can tell its age with the cut of wood on back. Sometime along its lifespan, someone touched up the image on front to make it stand out more, yet it is still quite nice. The following is a repetition of the condition description with some additional info. sign has been around, and moved around, and shows scuffs, chips and wear. Two holes on front, one on each side, of wear a fastened hanger once held this up, to hang in a window. In its more recent life cycle, metal fasteners were applied to top rear corners for hanging on a wall. And while this is a vintage piece using quarter-sawn wood, someone has touched up some of the original image, but still quite attractive. A solid, very strong piece. Could probably make a great table top, too; if you put a few layers of polyurethane over it. This large heavy piece is ready to hang as metal fasteners on each corner were implemented specifically for wall hanging for heavy items.
