The jacket, while used, is in "excellent", 5 out of 5 star condition. The jacket's fabric retains the firmness of brand new, indicating fewer than 5 wash cycles since new. This "wind jacket" is typically worn over the duty uniform, or in substitute of the uniform coat and overtop the ECWCS Level 3 "fleece" jacket. The jacket features slanted loop fields for name tag, service component tag, and rank square on the chest. It also features hook and loop secured pockets on each shoulder, with IR "IFF" squares on tabs that secure inside the pocket in "hidden" mode and outside when IFF is necessary. The jacket front includes two large zippered pockets, one on each side. The bottom of the jacket features manual bungees to tighten around the waist. The sleeves are tightened with sewn-in elastic, which remains like-new. Overall, this jacket is extremely comfortable and soft as a light outer layer or under equipment such as a vest, harness, or carrier. These are hard to find in good condition, especially in the most common sizes such as this one, as you can't walk into your local clothing and sales to find these. The jacket is one of the best all-around issue items as part of the ECWCS and is the most practical for most environments of the issued clothing items.
