The 5” capped 254 piston filler from the 1950s had the first for MB slip cap, a transparent barrel section and the famous trademark star – this is a great example. The black body is lustrous, the Gold Filled trim is quite fine with no wear or brassing I see – there are no personalizations. The pen has no chips or cracks and few signs of handling or use wear - it is Nice and the beautiful, sort of sexy shaped 14C gold Mont Blanc nib is a Flexible maybe Medium, maybe broad or stub with lots of iridium – not a noodle but average flex and not much separation.
