To proceed, open the lid and then remove the cap. There should be a slotted opening around its perimeter; fit a flat-blade screwdriver into this aperture to pry it up. After removing the cover, you will find a bolt that secures the agitator to the transmission shaft. You can use either a 7/16" or 11-millimeter socket to loosen it. You'll need to hold that tub from turning, as you loosen the bolt. To remove the agitator, firmly grasp the fins and lift it straight up until you've taken it completely off. Once you have detached the bolt, carefully lift the agitator away from its shaft to reveal the hub assembly beneath. Note that if your model is of an older style, it may be covered with a dry cloth— in this case, such a specific type of transmission will not fit this kind of hub.
