Description: 12 Heritage Rhode Island Red Hatching 🐣 Eggs. Moretz Farms We have been raising our flock for 8 years we raise multiple breeds. These eggs are from the same coops I have sold and hatched eggs from this year. Most of them laid the same day. I have hatched over 300 chicks out of this flock. There is no test to check an egg for being fertile. I can only say I have 1 rooster to every 6 hens in my coops and on the farm, we have a hatchability rate of greater than 90%. So, it is to the best of my knowledge that each egg shipped is fertile when they left my possession. Shipping eggs is very, very hard on the development process. If you are buying shipped hatching eggs you must understand that there is no guarantee that these eggs will be hatch able. The risk is too high. So no, I don’t guarantee eggs. No, I don't "have to" replace or refund anything. It is your choice to buy hatching eggs shipped through the mail. You assume all risk of loss as the buyer. If you want a guarantee of live birds, Purchase live birds. Yes, they are more expensive per bird. But that is the only way to guarantee a perfect hatch. Regardless, it’s not the seller’s fault that your eggs didn’t incubate. (Yes, I know there are crooked sellers out there. I’m talking about the 95% of good ones). Most of us do try to compensate for hatches that didn’t go well. I have sent out several sets of eggs for the cost of shipping. Why? Because I want people to have a good experience. And I genuinely feel badly when people don’t have a good hatch. But I am in no way obligated to do so. **** We cannot guarantee how our egg(s) will be treated while they’re in transit through the postal system nor can we guarantee delivery within a specified time after we ship the eggs. Extreme temperatures, low air pressure in airplanes, rough handling, delays in transit and delivery, and X-ray machines can all affect the hatchability of eggs... But we do label boxes with bright yellow and orange stickers stating their live contents on hopes of better care. We also cannot control the conditions under which you incubate the eggs. FOR THESE REASONS WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE HATCH-ABILITY OF THE EGGS WE SELL. Please leave feedback at the time you receive the eggs, not after you’ve incubated them. Please do not leave negative feedback if your eggs don’t hatch or if they were delayed in transit. Again, if you cannot accept these terms please do not purchase. **** We have our incubators running yearly hatching and checking fertility. We cannot guarantee hatch rates. We have a 90-96% hatch rate here at the farm but shipped hatching eggs usually have 50% hatch rate or less. This is normal with all shipped eggs due to the many factors that eggs go through during shipping, your incubator, humidity, temperature, etc. Be prepared for your eggs by having your incubator running 2 days prior to delivery. When you receive, gently unwrap and let sit for 24 hours on their side so they can settle before placing in your incubator. I do not wash the eggs to preserve the natural bloom and I also suggest that you do not wash them prior to or during the incubating. PLEASE NOTE: FRESH eggs are gathered prior to shipment. We gather eggs multiple times per day. The utmost care goes into packing them for safe arrival. HOWEVER, we CANNOT control how the post office handles them, NO REFUNDS are given. WE DO NOT REPLACE EGGS! WE DO NOT TAKE RETURNS! Each box is labeled as Fragile and as Living Embryo’s. We cannot guarantee or warranty the delivery of your eggs once they are in the hands of the USPS. Your eggs are shipped Priority 1-3 day and are insured up to $50.00 by the USPS. If your eggs do not arrive on time, then it is up to you to call the USPS and submit a claim.
