The standard First Day of Issue cancel was for Washington, DC as the nation's capitol. ( 2/23/1976) Cancels were also made available from each of the 50 State Capital's with a slogan cancel reading "50 States - One Nation, USA Bicentennial". ( also 2/23/1976).
