Description: This was very difficult to photograph well because the case is such a shiny silver color that it reflected everything around it, especially the lines of my photo box, but it's quite clean and doesn't appear to have ever been carried in anyone's pocket, I think it likely was always kept inside the Zippo case. The paper guarantee is still in the back of the case, and the case, guarantee, and tape measure all have the Zippo Manufacturing Company, Bradford, PA, Made in the USA, or some version of that printed as space allowed. The Griffin Wheel red logo of the gryphon, as well as the blue Griffin Wheel lettering, both feel as if etched or stamped in, not just printed on. I believe Griffin Wheel made railroad train wheels, so this may have originally belonged to someone who retired from that company. It came from an estate sale many years ago and has been in the back of a desk drawer ever since, I think because my husband thought it was a lighter (he collected them) and he stored it in the drawer after getting home and discovering it wasn't a lighter. He passed away over 7 years ago and was here years before that, so I am calling it 'used' even if it wasn't actually used by anyone as far as I know. It just needs a new home now.
