By hand with measuring tape it measured approx. 22 3/4" = 7 1/2 size. This hat has been in a closet for decades. Shows staining with a few drips. The inside lining needs to be replaced. I am not sure about it being beaver but feels like it. I believe most of the drip stains can be cleaned professionally. Overall, not too horrible since the hat is from the 1960's.
