Description: This is an extremely fine First World War 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class on a nice length of original ribbon that remains in excellent condition. The magnetic iron center of both the obverse and reverse of this cross is with 100% of the beautiful original stove black finish. There is no rust or damage to this piece whatsoever. The silver frame is without separation and has a very well-defined beading running around the raised edge. The silver now with a very attractive, dark, age toned patina. The crown, monogram ‘W’, and 1914 date are all sharp and well-defined on the obverse as well as the crown, letters ‘FW’, oak leaves, and 1813 date on the reverse. The jumper ring is marked with ‘W’ for the maker Wagner, Berlin. A truly beautiful looking Iron Cross.8950
